All the Extra Details

As we have said before many times, it’s all about the details. And, it’s often all the extra details that people remember. Yes, of course, we design large scale, and consider how everything looks together. The details are what make the lasting impressions, and they are just so fun. We have talked a lot about guest bags and how we “brand” those elements for our clients. So, today, we share just a few small fun details that you can use for ideas at your next event.

Since many of our clients have destination “weekends”, one of our most popular creations are our dress tags. These are included in the weekend party packs we send out after invitations. These break down each event over the weekend, and the attire for them. That way, when you are packing and unpacking you can organize your outfits accordingly. Here, our clients wanted a way to honor a family tradition, and family members that may or may not have been able to attend. So, we created a cigar station with an old photo of the grandfather known for his cigar love. And, using an antique wooden table, we made copies of their favorite photos to display throughout. Not just fun details, but also meaningful. See more from this Kiawah River wedding here.

Or, just having memento matches around in spots for guests to grab throughout the night is fun also. Never over the matches. And, we like creating custom coasters for the lounge. That way, if you are up dancing or running to the restroom, the servers don’t take a drink you are still drinking.

For this monumental birthday celebration, there were many opportunities for details. The lady of the hour loves chocolate, so we took her favorites and wrapped them in custom papers. And, not just your typical cocktail napkins, a favorite photo of the honoree is featured. And, of course, tray liners with fun sayings, monograms, patterns, etc always help give a little pop to cater trays that are tired and used.

The desire to include a fur baby on that big day is still a strong request we get. So, here are some of the fun ways we have in the past. Custom water bottles, to include in the welcome gift bags, and also behind the bar throughout the night and served before the ceremony. And, for one wedding, cake was boxed up for guests to take home as “doggie bags”, featuring images of the pups taken before the big day.

And, for this custom detailed day, a custom monogram is featured throughout the printed items, and also on items like aprons for the cocktail hour. The bride and her mother have many favorite quips they share with each other, so we thought it would be fun to print them on different cocktail napkins. And, on some of the pillows featured in the decor. We hope you can take one or some of these ideas and put your own spin on them. Share with us what you come up with!
