Happy Monday Y’all! Sorry I have been slack on the blog posts this week! Tara and I just got back from the Special Event Conference in Tampa, Florida this past week. I promise to blog on that this week and share you our experience…it was great!

But first, I wanted to let you all know something we are so excited about! Tara has the privilege of speaking at the upcoming Chapel Designers Group in March!

This amazing collaboration of floral designers is the brain child of Holly Chapple, who saw the need for a forum of floral designers to meet, share ideas and bond in their common industry.

We are a little past the one year anniversary of our sweet couple, Meredith and Chad, who got married on New Year’s Day last year. Since then we’ve received such wonderful feedback and press on their January wedding. Most recently, their wedding was featured in “Real Weddings” section of Arkansas Bride. We loved seeing all of these amazing images by Liz Banfield featured so beautifully! Had to share with you…I hope you enjoy as much as we did!

We’re talking about event design, of course. Where was your mind???

Nude tones and tone-on-tone shades are a hot request in our office this year. So many of of brides are requesting those pale pink, peach and champagne colors. Which we absolutely adore! Those tonal shades are so flattering in fabrics, linens and florals. Moreover, bridal designers are taking this trend in stride and blending a touch of pink into their wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses.

Now it seems that the love of nude has expanded further than just bridal! The 2012 Golden Globes were filled with gorgeous actresses hitting the red carpet in these colors. Let’s discuss…

Hiedi Klum was a complete stunner in this pale peach Calvin Klein dress. Some have critiqued her for looking a bit to casual for the event, but we thought she was phenom! Open back looks amazing…we can keep wishing for that.

Funny girl Kristen Wiig looked great with her dark hair and her nude colored Bill Blass dress!

We are still on the fence about this Dior dress, but there is no doubt that Charlize Theron is t-totally beautiful. I mean, really.

Interesting how bridal and red carpet over lap!! Designer Reem Acra dressed the always beautiful Diane Lane in this champagne and gold dress.

Power-house Kate Beckinsale tends to wear neutrals quite often on the red carpet and her Roberto Cavalli pick here was no exception. If it works, why change it, right??

Anyone feel the need to go to the gym after all of these? I sure do! Hope y’all enjoyed all the dress watching at this years GG’s as much as we did!
